*FIX for high-pitch frequency noise*

I know there is a huge thread about the high pitch frequency noise but I figure a new thread will get more people's attention.

I called Infiniti consumer affairs again and asked them about the fix for this. The confirmed there is currently a fix for it; there is not a tsb out though. The fix is some sort of counter-measure part, the representative would not go into detail.

If the dealership says there is no such thing, call consumer affairs at 800-662-6200, option 3. They wil verify your info and then tell them what happened. They will then have a regional tech manager person call the dealership and tell them how to fix it.

I am going to schedule for this week or next so cross your fingers!

Well, my car has been taken to the dealer, and after listening to the tech telling me that it's all in my head they finally acknowledged my concerns. They called the tech line at infiniti who is supposed to walk them through the issue. My SA called later and said that they actually located the noise and that it's coming from the ECU. THey even used a sound tool to measure the frequency.
That is confirmed!
Now, what they are planning on doing I still don't know.

BTW my loaner '08 EX35 has the same issue, HAHA, BUT it seems like the noise is not as loud. In my car its def more noticeable.

i have an appt. for tomorrow but not sure what they are going to do since they have to order a part.

if your dealer is telling you there is no fix, call consumer affairs and tell them your dealership is not cooperating when there truely is a fix out. the district rep will call you and then call the dealership. dont let them give you the run around.

^ Agreed. But you know how dealers love to spin this stuff. I don't anticipate an issue since I just bought the car 2 weeks and I will raise hell if they try a quick one on me

I have contacted consumer affairs and was told I would be called back by the regional manager. We'll see where it goes.....
BTW: the paperwork says: currently there is no fix! and this is from Infiniti's tech phone line.
What is this part that you speak of?
Who did you speak on the phone at consumer affairs-can you give me her/his name?

I spoke with an Evelyn at 1-800-662-6200 option 3. She was very helpful and willing to battle for me. She stated that there was a fix for this but told me it was very complicated and would have a hard time explaining to me on the phone; she specifically said it was a procedure they have to do. Car is going in tomorrow so will update when I have something.
