But there might be regional price differences, so $6500 might be good where you are. What are other dealers in your area selling them at? Here's a link to the deals here in GA: Roswell Infiniti - Roswell, GA, if you wanted to try and use them for negotiation, but since we are in totally different areas of the country, it might not help.

Reliability seems to be good on the G, certainly better than a 3-series, C-class, etc. And you get a lot more for your money - for what you pay for a G37 w/prem, you would be getting a pretty low-option 328 or C300, unless you go used. And I would rather have a brand-new Infiniti than a used German car (and this is from someone that loves German cars).
Both of the local Silicon Valley INF dealers are selling them for $6500 off sticker. I talked to both dealers and seemed to me neither were willing to go any lower. For a high option car in a hard to sell color they might do it, but from what I have seen the inventory is down to the last couple cars at this point, so they are moving the cars at those prices. Once they are gone, they are gone of course.

BTW - above is exactly why I picked up a G37. I have owned a few other Nissans and one other Infiniti ('94 Q45t), so I am familiar with the brand. But I am much more of a german sport sedan guy and have owned 5 BMW's and currently also an Audi S4. But the G37 is a lot more bang for the buck, plus I do expect long term reliability will be better than BMW.

I just purchased a 2009 g37x sedan /w Premium (and misc junk like cargo net, mats, nitrogen, etc) this weekend. Out here in the NE you can't even find a Journey. I paid $31,880 + TTL.
