2010 Sedan: Question on Sport Pkg + Maple wood trim

Local dealer is telling me that a 2010 G37 with the Sport Package (the full sport package and not the 18" wheel & tire package) cannot be equipped with the maple wood trim, only the new Shodo metallic trim. He also claimed that only vehicles equipped with the wheat interior can be equipped with the wood package.

Any merit to any of the above? I thought the interior pictures of the 2010s that I saw illustrated a vehicle with the wood trim and paddle shifters (which would indicate a sport package). Granted the interior was wheat, but I find it unlikely that the wood would be offered in wheat and not in graphite.

I'm interested in a Graphite Shadow exterior with the premium, NAV & sport package and the maple wood. I suspect the dealer is feeding me BS because his inventory doesn't show him receiving such a configuration.

Thanks

I don't know about the 2010 but when I bought mine they didn't offer wood with sport either.

My dealer advised the same thing, I believe I have read that cannot get the wood trim with those packages.

I believe you can get the sport and wood together. You do have to order the car that way though. It takes a few months to get the car. And yes you can get wood with other colors besides wheat.

the sport package comes with the new aluminum finish there is no wood option on any S version.

woj027 has a 2010 G37x non S which can come with the maple wood trim.

you could probably talk the dealership to sell it as an add-on. they might throw in the installation if you push them. or make you pay for installation but they'll throw in the parts. either way.

if you order the car from the factory you might have that option available. but I don't think there is any strong negotiation tactics for a vehicle that's not on the dealership lot.

Thanks. If this is the case, how does one explain the picture from the Infiniti pressroom below (note the paddle shifter, denoting a sport package vehicle and the white gauge cluster, denoting a 2010 model)?

it brings memories on how I met Crazy Ruskie and hooked him up with his wife's IP/Graphite sedan .... what a rare combo that was too.

yeah i'm not 100% sure if this is going to be a production model...

I know the G37 Convertible Premier Edition had the maple wood. in 6 speed and the auto

is the maple wood a standard add on? All of the wood trims are limited to the journey generall. y

If you look closer the LCD display in the middle of the tach and speedomter is still red, so I'm guessing this is a picture of a 2009

the G37 convertible premier edition never had a 6-speed version, only the 7AT with non sport...

I just placed a few more orders on the 2010 G37xS Sedan with Premium/Nav/Sport/Wood....

it's a great combo... you just can't get a wheat (beige) interior with a sport package.

you can also get the wood now with the Stone interior in a sport as well.

I don't know where you are getting your answers but these are official and firm.

But if you look at the actual trim itself, you'd notice that near the audio controls you see some logos... I don't think that in my car there is the Div-X logo.

Still no chance of a G37S 6MT with wood interior, though, right? Or is there some way of getting that as a special order?
