Just got a new G37x

I live in Idaho where there is no dealer in the entire state, so I flew to Oakland on a business trip and while on the trip I test drove a G37. I really liked it but, I wanted to test a G37X as I in Idaho we definately get snow. So along my trip I flew to Las Vegas. I tested another G37 but still no G37X available. After looking around I found the one that I wanted. G37X in Salt Lake at Tim Dahle. It has Premium, Woodtrim and Nav packages and I was able to get it in time for the sales tax deduction of 2009. Since I had to drive it to my state I already put 540 miles and did my first oil change yesterday (w/nissan oil).

It snowed a week ago about 4 inches and I took it to the back side of my subdivision and I can say that I am happy I paid $2k more for the X version. It does really well but must advise to be carefule on corners. I was a little surprised that the back end has no problem coming out until the fronts kick in so if was only rear wheal I would be a little concerned.

I am happy and love every minute behind the wheel. I like the coupe more but I have 2 kids and had to make the boss (wife) happy.

Welcome and enjoy your new car.

BTW, if you have 2 cars in the family, you should be able to get a coupe...of cause the sedan is more convenience.

Congrats! Get rid of the RSA tires and you'll have less trouble with the rear end.

It seems he has already had issues with them at this point.

I had the same problem with mine slipping out from behind me for no good reason. After sliding through a light and having the rear end slip three times, I got rid of mine. Since replacing them I have not had a problem, even with worse conditions.

My .02: I have the dunlops as I have an XS. My rear end will kick out too until VDC or AWD or both save it. I don't fault the car b/c the dunlops are summer leaning all seasons.

I'm convinced this car would be a monster will true snow tires. I might just get a set soon.

I got the Yokohama W*Drives. They are performance snow tires, and have been great. I had no issues with all the snow this past week in the Chicago area, even on the county roads I travel on around my house. These are the first snow tires I have ever had. I always had AS tires before, and never really had any problems. Now though I will be going the Summer/Winter route. I drive too many miles to play around with my tires.
