Does the red S stand for "snob"??

Having two non-sport Gs it seems that those (not all, but a high %) that have the sport models look down on us without the blazing red S on our tail. Not too many Gs in New Mexico but those that I run into that have non-sports are so much friendlier than those that I've seen w/ the red S.

In Vegas a few months back I saw a guy w/ a black 09 S and said "very nice G you've got there", he looked back at our brand new black non-sport and just said "should've got an S, man". Not even a thanks or an acknowledgement form one Infiniti guy to another.

The implied arrogance is a bit mysterious to me, it's not like I'm driving a 335i and a guy pulls up in an M3. The G & G35/37S are the same cars w/ just a few "upgrades", they're not GT-Rs

OK, I'll get of my rant, and for those S guys that apreciate us regular G guys I'm sorry

flame on!

Sounds like someone has an inferiority complex.

PS
My trunk is completely bare, so what does that mean?

People who measure their man hood by the type of car they drive are the ones to be pitied.

The way I see it... how does someone elses decision on car buying affect me- not in any way. If you are happy with what you drive then have fun!

Of course you are inferior! Minion!!!

J/K. I have to admit, I do give more attention to S models. I suppose the reason is because most people I see driving non-S G sedans, are usually old ladies. No offense, that's just what I see around here. To tell you the truth, I rarely even see an S sedan, and only 35's. I've never seen another G37s sedan.

I pulled up to a light a few weeks ago. There was a really clean 35s sedan beside me. I looked over to give him a nod, thumbs up, whatever, and there was about a 70 yo lady driving it. I see a lot of people driving these cars, who don't really know what these cars are about. Most the people I see in sedans, probably would have been better off in a Lexus. That's really what they were after, luxury. Little did they know, this car luxury is a second, performance is a first.

Damn right. Last thing I want is to be opressed and feel confined. Underwear is a gimmick created by the goverment to keep men in chains. I say let my people be free. FREE BALL FOR LIFE !!!!!!

Car guys want to hang out with car guys. There's a pretty good chance that the driver of an "S" is a car guy. Since there are so many G's on the road I can see how some might use the "S" badging as a filter to determine who gets the wave or not.

The badge is just an identifier right? Various mods (wheels, body kit, tint, etc) can be just as good on an identifier as the "S" badge.

I'll admit that if a see a non-S I will assume it's a non-enthusiast behind the wheel.

PS
The Non-S front bumper is actually more expensive than the Sport front bumper. So hold your head high non sport people, because your front bumper costs more.

We didn't get the S just because we felt the sport seats were a bit too tight in the butt for long drives (and we are pretty trim people).

Just saying.

I usually see more fixed up non-S's in my neck of the woods than actually S's fixed up.. Dropped, sitting on 20's, loud exhuast and they get plenty of attention.. Maybe you should do the same and you'll have a person with a stock S drooling over your ride?
