The S in 37

Why do people buy the S and then complain about the harsh ride? Do people not do any homework on the car they buy and just walk in and say I want that one? Tell me that isn't true.

I don't find the ride particularly harsh even in S form. I've added lots of underbracing, lower profile wider 20" tires, and a coilover suspension and still wouldn't characterize the ride as harsh. Firmer and less compliant than before, but still not harsh.

I think you hit the nail on the head though jane. It seems that some of us didn't get a thorough enough test drive and do enough reading on what makes a G a G before signing the check. There are a lot of complaints that shouldn't be if you knew what you were buying before you bought it.

I agree. The S stands for sport, not supple. I love the suspension.

Jane, you are right. Some succomb to sales tactics and some to
their own immediated needs for self satisfaction and then
rationalize it all later. Just another "stupid human trick"....
we' ve all got a few.

A finer line between sports sedan and luxury sedans nowadays?

Unforunately for some the S stands for stupid. Given the tactics to sell cars and our thirst for immediate gradification, it is obvious that most people do not do resreach before buying a car. If they did, there would be many more G's sold over other brands but I like the fact that this is not the most popular car. Helps to keep it fresher, IMO.

If I were to do it again I wouldve bought a journey, reason being the sport has better suspension (which I ripped out and added coilovers) has 19" wheels (sold those and have 20" ssr's) nice front bumper (changed my front bumper) Big brakes (looking to add even better brakes)

So all the money that paid extra for the sport was a waist bc Ive removed all the parts with better ones lol..... but I still have the letter S on the trunk
