I think my reliance on Nav turned me into an idiot.

Using a map, I usually learn a city in about 2-3 days. With Nav, I didn't even bother learning and just listen to the instruction.

Nav if you got extra $$ to throw around but definitely last thing I would buy.

I would say get both. As for me, I got sports, navigation, and premium.

Get the navi -- you can't add it later, but you can always change your rims and add paddles later on to your ride...

i hear too many "wish i would have gotten the navi" regret stories...

You have to get both. How much will the monthly go up by? If it's not that much 3k+interest over 3-5 years, then I'd say do it.

If you absolutely will not get both, go with the Sport. You can get an aftermarket nav for cheap to do almost what OEM nav does. But it'll cost you A LOT more $ if you want to add in everything the S package has (BBK, LSD, 19s, shifter......etc) with aftermarket parts.

Strongly recommend both, if you must, go with S.

If you don't plan on any mods to your car (or very little), get the sport package. If you plan on getting rims and upgrading your suspension later, then get the navi (or don't get either one).

I got both and I think you'll be happier with both. Love the NAV and love the Sport things also.

I have to agree with da mayor. I love the backip camera. I thought it would be cute and not very useful, but I find I use it whenever I am in reverse now.

The nav system itself is pretty useful too. Always nice to know where you are and where the streets go around you.

If anything, you should go with the Sport and Premium packages. I went with both and picked up an iPod touch. Now I use the Maps application to act as my GPS. Done!

If I had to pick one, it would be Sport package... I have both, I love the backup camera... I could do without the NAV as far as finding my way around but I just like to look at it rather then any other menu on that big screen we have, especially at night it completes the look of the interior IMO

How do you use the touch to get driving directions. Do you have wireless in your car?

On the phone itself, not the nav screen.

I bought the car because it is a freakin' great car, even in basic Journey form. I regret only not getting the sport package, for the brakes, steering and LSD - especially the LSD. Navi and tech are great, but an iPhone totally kills anything Infiniti could possibly offer. So many GPS-based nav apps now, it's ridiculous. I use Navigon's app, and find it very accurate and easy to use with voice navigation. Lose the nav, get the sports, buy a custom blend mount, and get an iPhone package, and you be totally happy. Plus, you can do whatever you want eith the nav, put on videos, whatever. Steve Jobs ain't you nanny, unlike infiniti. It's the one thing i hate about infiniti is that they are such interventionists, and they are militant prescriptivist as well - don't do this - don't do that, come here and let us suck even more money from you every 3750 miles.

Oh, I thought you said the Ipod Touch. You need wireless for the apps to work on that. I don't have AT&T otherwise I would get the iphone. I don't have Nav on my car either and I feel like it is too much money for what it does. Can't wait for the iphone to come to Verizon. Until then, I use my own sense of direction to get around town. This has not failed me yet!
