Does your rpm go quickly under redline all the time when floored?
Greetings:
My 09 G37x has 3800 miles and has been flashed per TSB09-032. I just notice that whenever I floor the gaz pedal either in D or DS mode, sometime the rpm quickly goes up to just below the redline then gradually drops as I keep holding the gaz pedal. Other times, the rpm quickly goes up to 5000 rpm then gradually (slowly) increases as I keep holding the gaz pedal to the floor.
My driving habit is mixed. Most often I try to cruise under 80 miles on highway, follow the flow of traffic, observe speed limit during daytime and take it easy when in town during week-end. Sometime I just give a short burst to pass from 80 and occasionally reaching 120 in a well known highway area where no trooper can hide and early in the morning when traffic is not dense.
Do you think this is a normal behavior?
Any comment or input is greatly appreciated.

Also 09 G37x. Last night, I floored it when going up a fairly steep hill in DS mode. It rocketed up to redline and held for a few seconds, then upshifted and was immediately back to redline for a few more. Man... that was a rush. I couldn't believe how fast it was flying up that hill. If you use DS, it should hold the high revs, but you may need to train it to drive more aggressively. When I talked to a tech guy about the learning transmission, he told me that each car has a number with a default of 100. If you drive hard, the number goes down, and vice versa if you baby it. He said he's seen numbers as low as high 80s and as high as about 120. When I asked him how to lower the number, he smiled and said, "just go to full throttle a few times".
