Unfortunately, you may never get the answer you are looking for. The Amex promo is most likely being run in certain test markets. Who knows? It could be evaluating the influence that consumers in certain income groups have with their friends and acquaintances. Or, other marketing variables are being tested.

Certainly, the marketing people never intended it to be a buy or trade scenaio as it's become on this board. So, don't be too disappointed if you weren't selected to be part of the promo. And don't expect to EVER be told of its exact nature...

Well, what I am really looking for is Infiniti to raise the level of responsiveness to the consumer. When one is told to make 8 or nine phone calls before finally being told that Infiniti will not/ can not answer the question is not acceptable. They should be able to do that on at least the first or second call, even if the consumer does not like the answer. This is only the second time that I have called them and the first time, they gave me erroneous information.
