G37 State Registration Question

Hello everyone,

Just traded in a gas hog F-150 for a new G37X. If anyone has any insight I would love to hear it. I live in VA and bought the car in MD. I paid VA state taxes, but the dealer charged me MD state registration and tags. Now I've got 30 days to pay and register for VA registration and tags. Could the dealer have easily gave me VA temps tags and registered me for tags in VA.

Yes you should have to only pay for registration and tags once, and it would of been in VA.

I purchased my car in MO but registered it in Michigan. Paid Michigan taxes and paid MI registration and got Michigan Tags. Nothing to do with Missouri!

I actaully bought mine on OH, but live in PA. I have to pay for temp registration and temp plate on Ohio and then tax, registration and plate transfer in PA. I talked to several sources and that was the only way to do it, at least for OH to PA.

Are you sure that the dealer didn't take care of your VA registration, title, and tags? I too live in VA and bought my car in MD. The MD dealer put a MD temp plate on it and gave me the MD temp registration, but assured me that the VA registration, title, and tags would be coming in the mail and that I didn't need to do anything. I think the registration fees I paid included the temp MD fees as well as the VA transfer fees.
