What's your insurance premium for new 09 G37 sedan?

I'm also on my own plan in North Carolina, and I have a few accidents and tickets on my record. When I lived in New Jersey under my parents plan with my G35 Coupe I was at like 200 dollars a month. =\

Insurance Premiums on 2009 G
I have a 2009 G-37 Journey sedan and live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I pay $1,100 per year through the AARP Hartford plan. Full coverage of course - for myself only. My house is also insured through them, so that gets me a discount.

What I can tell you is that I switched from a car that cost 1.5 times the amount of the G and my insurance went UP by $80/year. Needless to say I was not happy. According to my insurer, it's the (worse) profile of the typical drivers of the G relative to my previous car that causes the difference.

To SWC,
i live in lancaster, PA and having penn national insurance but through KHB insurance agency and paying $320/6months for 2009 g37x 4dr. w/premium package with multi-cars discount and home.
coverages: 250/500/100, 250 coll. ded., 0 comp, full tort, 34YO married, clean record.
i think your rate is high, but like me i always shop for insurance rate every 2-3 years.

This sort of input isn't too useful to people considering a G, because there would need to be parity between them and the people comparing rates:
- same location;
- same age;
- same miles driven/year;
- same driving record;
- same credit;
- same coverage and deductables;
- etc.
Unless you find your clone on here that lives next door and is indistinguishable from yourself, your best bet is to call your insurance company and get a quote for the new car BEFORE buying.
Just my opinion.

With state farm, age 32, married, male, good credit, accident free for more than 5 years, low deductible it's about <strike>$630</strike> every 6 months. There are also a few discounts there because I also have my homeowner's and wife's car with that company.
Before I bought I got quotes on a few cars with MSRPs all slightly less expensive than the G37 but in the same ballpark. The quotes were all within $30 (per six months) of the G, so it wasn't much of a difference.
@Hitdog: About 10 years ago I had a 2-month old Hyundai that got smashed in the back by a hit and run driver while it was parked. Five other cars that were parked on the same side of the street within 2 blocks were also hit. I had the $1000 deductible at the time and ended up having to pay it myself (out of $2200 worth of damage.) At the time, I was in college and coming up with that money was a huge trouble. I had the high deductible then because that was about all I could afford in payments due to age, no credit history, etc.
So my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, still sees that as a lesson to use low deductibles. Otherwise I'd probably at least go with around $500.
Edit: Checking my policy, it's actually $570 per six-months.
