Should I get an 2009 now or order an 2010 G37??
So here is my dilemma. I was already to buy a 2009 G37xs, but now I'm hearing about updates to the Nav system and other updates. I come from Acura, so I am used to a quality Nav system. If you were me, would you just bite the bullet and get a 09, or would you order a 2010??? If I order it, how long will it take for me to get it? I know in the beginning of 2009 Infiniti had issues with fulfillment. If I order a 2010 in the next month or so when can I expect to take delivery? December??? January??? March??? lol<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

If you get an 09 now, you can take advantage of the incentive. But for a 2010, I am not sure. I was in the same situation (08 vs. 09), the difference in price was big but I went for 09 because of the bigger engine, 7AT, and better MPG.

I was in a pretty similar situation about a month ago. I decided to go ahead and get the 09 because of the ridiculously good deals that are out there and I didn't care that much about not getting the 2010 upgrades.
Then again, I also didn't want the navigation system, and that's one of the things getting an upgrade.
It's personal preference though. I doubt the MSRP will go up much, but to get the 2010 you'll probably have to pay closer to MSRP (where people are getting 09s well under invoice). If spending a little extra isn't a big deal to you and you want the newest toys, get the 2010. If you want to feel like you're getting a steal and have the car now, get an 09.
And to when the cars will be delivered, sorry, can't help you there.

Wait for the dealers to get the '10s in stock... try one out, and try an '09 out as well... Weigh the differences and consider if it's worth the price difference. When the '10s are at the dealers, you could more than likely get a steal on a new '09 if the differences aren't that important to you.

I would say that if money is of any concern in your equation that you might want to consider that the deals for the 2010 probably won't be quite as good. That's not for certain but realistically these car companies are probably going to strictly control supply from now on to make sure they don't end up like they were at the end of last year (when they were taken by surprise at the rapid collapse of the economy and had to dump a lot of cars).
With supply under careful control, they may not have to compromise on the incentives quite as much.
If a few thousand dollars one way or the other doesn't matter to you then it's just a matter of how much you like the new nav system. Someone posted links to the next gen nav pics in the thread below so you can compare to see if it's worth waiting for:

I'd like to see the exterior and interior changes myself. However, I don't expect it to be a completely different car. They only mentioned changing the front and rear fascias not the entire body or the shape or anything like that. Also, it only says that the 17" wheels would be changing so I don't know if the 18" sport rims would be any different or not.

There could be legitimate reasons to want to wait. I'm sure the Nav system will be improved and the USB connector will probably be better than the CF card. On the flip side, not everything that is "newer" is automatically better. Who's to say that the fascias and wheel changes will actually look better?
It's all specific to each buyer though. If the Nav quality is that important to him and he knows it's going to be much better in just a few months, then it could be enough to give pause. He'll have to decide if it's worth waiting for or if the 2009 with the current savings is good enough.

I agree with Sharp_cai, you can always wait for the updated model to come out but at some point you just have to buy. There will always be a newer and better model no matter what you buy.
