My one reservation about buying g37 sedan was the lack of storage solutions.
Glove box is small.
Area between seats is small and shallow.
stupid ashtray takes up space.

Anyone have any ideas?


Yes i know i now dont have to store cds cuz i can load them and have ipod so that eliviates alot of room.

 

Solution = store your **** in your house. Even the door pockets are small. At first I was like WTF! But when you think about it, it will help keep your ride uncluttered. The only thing that pissed me off was that the owners binder wouldn't even fit in the glove. But it stored nicely in the trunk net! So I am happy!

 

The question is, what do you need to store?

I personally find myself keeping most of the junk out of my G. I've never kept my car so neat.

 

And what's up with that ashtray? Who has ashtrays in the car anymore? I didn't even get an ashtray in my G8 for God's sake....

 

Yeah I didn't get this either...but hey, Acura just took the tape deck out of the TL this year. Maybe the 2010 center console refresh removes the ashtrays ;-) As far as space, that's what the trunk and backseat are for right???

lol, you have no idea what lack of storage is until you own a sports car.

The G37 is like a steamer trunk compared to my Z4M roadster.

 

I like it for my cellphone...fits nicely.

I can store more stuff in my pants pockets than I can in my G Convertible...

 

And lets not forget the cupholders that can't fit two medium DD coffees without sitting in there all tilted.

smokers? Seriously it would be nice to have an insert which made it more useful for the rest of us to store stuff like coins, etc.

 

See, now I thought all those guys would be dead by now! Seriously, it's usually a special option, a 'smokers package' or something like that - the majority of people don't smoke, and they'd like something else useful occupying the space.

 

yeah i suppose i could put 3 CF flash cards in the ashtray.
and for your smoking convience there is a flipping ashtray in the back seat too.

No cell phone can fit the in the ashtray thats what the cupholder is for
The reason you have storage is so you dont have to reach around while driving into your back seat.
