Are you happy with the AC on your G series?
Greetings:
I am so disappointed with the AC on my 09 G37x (850 miles). I try manual and auto mode and it doesn't seem to blow air as cold as my other cars (04 4 Runner and 05 Legacy GT). Today outside t° is about 88° to 91°F. I put a temperature probe in the vent outlet and it shows the t° drop around 60° after about 1/2 hours driving (~10 miles highway, stopped at the dealer to check the AC, 10 miles local road to go back home). I already bring to the dealer this past Monday, they didn't find anything. The work order stated "AC went to 48 F on performance test". I drop by again today and the service manager took my car to the shop perform all the quick test and still could find anything. He schedules another appointment on this coming Monday. I've a G35x loaner while my car was in service and I feel the air is much colder than mine.
I rarely set the t° below 70 in the summer time for my other two cars (minimum t° setting is 65).
I bought this car thinking it is a quiet car until I experience the AC. If auto mode is used the fan maximum speed noise is intolerable. In manual mode, the air is not cold enough. Additionally, the shifting is jerky not as smooth as my Legacy GT and there is an intermittent cracking noise on the driver side (happen mostly in the morning when the car was in the garage overnight). I don't think I set my standard to high since I compare it to my previous 05 LGT. I start to think that I am making a mistake here.

Same here, I feel our AC's are better than most of the AC's out there, mind you I live in the deserts

It was 102 outside today here in Houston and my AC was blowing snowflakes in my face. Get some good tint.
The maximum fan speed is somewhat noisy. You should never need it that high except for a few minutes when first cooling your car off after sitting in the sun. Even on the hottest days I seldom ever have the AC set below 70 and it's as cold as I can stand it.
The shifting is not silky smooth, that's the way the car is. It's not defective, everyone's MT G37 is that way. I cant comment on your creaking noise as I have had no noises at all in 43K miles. Good luck.

No issues with my '09 G37xS AC but live in Boston. My experience has been to leave the AC in Auto and let it do its thing. +/- 5 minutes and the fan is humming quietly and the temperature in the car is fine.
Your other observation - jerky shifting. Has been well documented that the '09 G37 has abrupt gear changes. My wife finds it disconcerting but she only drives in D. I find it to be part of the sporting nature of the car. I have never owned a non manual car until this one so appreciate the quick, albeit abrupt, shifts. If the tranny was slow and sloppy (like typical AT vehicles I have driven in the past) I would never have purchased a G37xS. Btw, I drive in DS using paddles 100% of the time so I may represent a small % of drivers and probably biased on the shifting issue.
Apparently there is a service bulletin on the AT shifting issue. Check with you dealer. You might be able to have your AT remapped to provide less abrupt shifts.
Good luck.

I've got an '09 coupe, and my AC is very cold. It's been in the 90's here in NashVegas, and I've had to dial my temp all the way to 82 degrees because it cools so well. Sounds like you may want to have someone take a look at yours. Good luck.

I agree with everyone else, the AC in my '09 G37 is meat-locker cold. It was about 92 here today and humid as hell and I had my auto temp at 74, but had to set it to 76 because it was blowing so cold. It's by far the coldest AC I've ever had in 25 years of owning cars.
