Are you happy with the AC on your G series?

you can easily take care of this by doing the following: a couple of minutes before you get to your destination, turn off the AC but leave the blower on. this will help to dry out the lines and you wont have any moisture for the next time you turn on your AC. there are also sprays to take care of this mold issue.

Maybe your a/c is broken. My 09 Journey blows cold as heck. In fact my R12 based a/c in my Civic is a lot less colder than the one in my G. I normally keep the a/c on the first setting because it can cool the car so easily. I have to keep my civic on the highest speed otherwise there's no way I'll be cool in the car.

Thank you all for your input and comments.
How many of you have a dark color outside w/ black interior? I wonder if this could be a major factor that make the car AC feel not as cold as my other two (both silver color outside, black interior for LGT and dark gray color for the 4Runner). Do you park in the shade or directly in sunlight? If directly in sunlight, how long does it take your AC to cool the interior until you feel comfortable?

I have platinum graphite (essentially, dark tan exterior) with black interior and it bakes in the 100 degree heat all day and when i get in the car, the seats are very hot and the steering wheel is also hot, but it takes about 2-3 minutes of the A/C blowing on it's auto setting to make things tolerable, and about 5 minutes before it's blowing freezing cold air.

After you drive, how long does it take the fan to lower it speed or to reach a comfortable inside t°? I have a short distance drive 20~30 minutes and the fan is still blow at its max speed and the interior is still hot (I am sweating) by the time I am home. My other two car just need 5 minutes to cool the car down to a comfortable t° i.e not sweating.

Yes, it sounds like you have a problem. We have a 2006 Legacy GT (light interior) and 2009 G37x (dark interior), and I like the AC on the G37 better. My wife and I both find the GT's heating and cooling to be a weak spot.
