Weatherstriping pulling off

Has anybody had problems with the outer edge door rubber weatherstriping pulling out of place? I’ve had the car 3 months and I noticed that some areas where one might grab the door to shove it closed are coming out of place. After further inspection, I found that this rubber strip pulls out extremely easy (oops). Unfortunately does not go back in place as easy.

Anybody else find this to be an issue?

Take it to the dealer. They will replace it under warranty.

Yeah, it does not come off, it just pulls out of place. I know the dealer will fix it but my concern is that it will just happen again and again unless they glue it in place or something. It seems like they would have designed it better so it wouldn't pull out so easy.

Yeah -- i had the same thing -- spent about 10 minutes before walking in the doors to work trying to use a credit card to slide this back into place... it's like "breakaway" stunt weather stripping, LOL .. it went back in easily but there are a few places where it looks a bit warped...

there is a TSB on this. mine is getting taken in for this on thursday. its making flapping noises on the highway. even if you dont have a 07-08 they will still fix it. the TSB calls for 3M tape below it.

it's very easy to re-install the strip into place. Just follow the instructions and diagram on the TSB. shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to do.

That happen to my old xS. Although I had the dealer reinstall it while the car was in for service.
