G37 Tips/Tricks thread

Hi Everyone,

I thought it would be nice to start a thread for listing tips/tricks for the G37. Useful stuff to know or good ideas that you might not know about.

I just got mine, so I'm browsing around, but for example one I found in the forum:

If you are a bad parallel parker, Save a 'side mirrors pointing down' in one of the seat settings.

When I close the trunk, I grab the handle on the inside of the trunk door,
and pull down, so I don't get fingerprints/whatever all over the paint/chrome.

The mirror tricks is awesome!! Nice one, thanks

I recently found out there is a pocket in the rear armrest (back seat) that is for the first aid kit -- in case you want an extra little bit of room or want the first aid kit in the main cabin for some reason.

Oh, is that where it is supposed to go? The dealer
had it in the trunk, velcroed it to the wall. He did the same
with the manuals too.

Not exactly - I made the monstrous Acura CL FAQ (and am considering doing the same for the G37), and am a mostly idle mod on Acurazine.

P.S. Note to self - run searches on all forums, not just the Sedan

I looked today, the only possibility I saw was on the fold down middle armrest in the backseat. On the passenger side of the armrest there is a flap with velcro, I can see a small first aid kit fitting in there, except mine didn't come with one. I call shenanigans!

I think the First Aid kits are standard (don't know about Canada though). Might try to get one from your dealership.

I have a first aid kit in my trunk. I'll have to look for that pocket.

My first aid kit does not fit into the armrest compartment so its fine in the trunk. I looove the memory mirrors trick! I really missed those mirrors going down from my lexus. Good one!

I don't see any pockets in the back seat except the ones on the back of the front seats...

so i tried the mirrors thing .. and yes, it works as stated -- problem is that when about to reverse, I put it in park -- hit "2" -- and the mirrors start to aim downwards - -however i have to wait to shift to reverse so the mirrors move all the way down -- i wish they'd move down and continue to their endpoint after i hit 2 and i can put it in reverse right away -- otherwise, good tip
