Speed sensing wipers -- what am I not understanding?
So -- i have the setting to speed sensing ON...
What position does that wiper speeds have to be in for this to work -- raining like crazy tonight and I don't seem to have any speed variation with interval, low, or fast setting ...
thanks

Correct, the speed sensitive wipers adjust according to the intermittent speed setting and the speed of the car. However when I've used my intermittent setting the wipers don't very in speed a whole lot. Kind of a waste if you ask me. I haven't noticed much of a difference depending on speed of the car but it does work.

This feature is enabled/disabled in the controller screen: Start Menus/Settings/Comfort & Convenience/Speed Sensing Wiper Interval. It sounds like you may have it disabled.

Not sure about you guys, but from the factory my car beads up the water really well and really fast to the point where I hardly ever use my wipers.
As long as I've going 35-40mph+, it just beads all the way up keeping my window clear. It's like I have Rain X on my windshield.
Is our car like the Cayman with the "Hydrophobic" windows/windshield? Since the car pushes so much air over the front hood/windshield, it relies on this to simply "push" the water away? Pretty clever if it is...

The wipers have been a glaring weakness in the features of Nissan for the almost 20 years that I've owned and driven them. They just don't seem to be very effective or have a fast enough maximum speed for heavy rain. The speed sensing function works but doesn't make a noticeable difference unless you go from crawling to driving very fast.

The G has a speed sensing wiper and not a rain sensing wiper. I prefer the rain sensing wiper. It is more usable and practical than the speed sensing wiper. I assume that the rain sensing wiper is more expensive because of the addition sensor on the windshield.

My TL also had speed sensing wipers and basically it would be full regular speed while driving at any speed and when you drove < 10 mph, it would be intermittent medium... and < 5mph or at a stop, slowest intermittent
that was useful... to some degree
the G's is not
