Just got my G37xS :D

Wow whataa ride. And im talking from experience getting out from the wheel of a 2007 STI. In the straight line power seems about the same, even though my STI went 0-60 faster only because I launched it at about 5,500 RPM haha. Also, STI handled alot better at higher speeds, that car just provokes you into some speed racing, hazardous to other drivers stunts. And after 13 tickets and facing 42 points in NYC, i decided to get something not as noticable but with enough ***** (HP) and unique vehicle. Going through all the Benzes, Bimmers, Audis, Lexuses, Acuras etc (you get the point). I went across Infiniti Dealer, i was interested in the FX35. Its an okay car, but not my style, too high of the ground (dont feel comftable). As soon as i seen the G, i decided to sit in it. Damnn, after i sat in it, holding the steering wheel and just looking around, i understood that this is what im going to get (no matter what!!!). Well 3 days after, im driving in the Black on Black 09 G37xS. Perfect ride quality, very smooth even though i heard people complain that it is stiffer than the regular ones. Coming out of STI, G is like a flying carpet heh hardly feel any crack on the road (brooklyn roads a really F'd up ) This car has loads of power, very very fun car to drive, even though its Automatic, but 7 gears sure get me smiling every time i drive. Very well built car all around. I have no regret of trading my STI in at all.

Congrats; be careful, the G37 can easily keep up with the STI.

Thank you guys, glad to be aboard. I don't wanna go crazy with mods, just high flow air filters (its crazy how every 3 cyls get their own intake, I was truly impressed), and F&R strut tower bars. I am also thinking about 19" coupe rims.

-1. I beg to differ. STI is a different beast. It can outrun the G in both straight and winding road. To sum it up: G is a refined fast car while the STI is a wild faster car.

To be honest...STI is just trouble anyway you look at it. Yes its fast, and really predictable at fast speeds (120mph+) and the sound of turbo boost is really addictive. But im in mid 20s....no more racing...I just like to cruise through the streets and when i need to, gas it up a little and off i go. That is exactly what the G delivers. G is not a "race" car, its a powerfull luxury sports sedan. I drive it for a week already and cannot complain about anything. I really like this car, and people stll turn their heads to look at it. I was actually impressed how it handles with the size and weight that it comes with. Im a real enthusiast (have Automotive Technology Diploma), and i say that G is way better than a 535xi or E350 benz, which were my other choices.

I was lookin through intakes...had 2nd thoughts about spending $500+ on the kit. So I went to autozone and ordered 2 K&N High Flow drop-in filters. Put them in on saturday didn't really expect much of the difference, there aint much at WOT.
But that same night I was in a rush to get somewhere. I'm on a highway, put it in DS mode, and wowww, at mid range rpm it was picking up RPM without any hesitation of struggle. With silent but deadly rumble sound that come out from under the hood, which was really sexy. I was reaching speeds from 70 to 100 with ease. $130 spend and well satisfying. Also, here's one of my favorite parts, when I engage brakes, it downshifts for me and keeps me in powerband (instead of me jerking stick shift and playing with the third pedal in my STI) I was giggling like a little girl, my girlfriend thought I went nuts. I don't really like the way the car is behaving at those speeds when I switch lanes (too much body flex) I'm going to look into strut tower and sway bars. I have only 1 complaint lol how come there is no Neutral and Reverse in pedal shift mode??? Well I gues it would be too "perfect" to be true hehe.
