I tried to read the article all day today, but I kept getting an error message from the website...

Btw - with only 22 more horsepower, negligible torque increase, and with a good bit added weight (wtf is up with this 3703 pounds!?!?!?), I wouldn't expect acceleration times to change much...

As far as price, Infiniti would be pretty daring to increase it by more than a few hundred...

I have to admit... I'm a little underwhelmed. The potential increases in fuel economy and better acceleration were once again negated by increased weight. I think I'd rather have the old G35HR sedan with 120 less pounds to drag around the corners. Shame on you, Infiniti. Again. Shame on you...

I've said it before. How can BMW build a 335i with folding rear seats (that add OH so much weight) and with a bunch of twin turbo and intercooler hardware under the hood, and still be over 100 pounds lighter than the G sedan. And those "sport" wheels still make me throw up a little bit in my mouth.

I'm finding it harder and harder to remain an Infiniti enthusiast... the G37 sedan was looking promising, but I'll be looking elsewhere to spend my money.

It weighs 3703 pounds, 120 more than the previous year's sedan. Is the 3.7 VHR engine that much heavier than the 3.5 HR?

The 7-Speed automatic adds some weight too I would imagine.

WOW surprised by the weight increase. But I can see the strategy. Imagine if they had kept it the same weight as the G35w/ HR motor. Then it would have been so much faster than the coupe that it might hurt coupe sales. But still I think that's a cop out. They could just figure out a way to make both cars lighter. Nevertheless the cars are still great for what they are.

that added weight on the sedan cant be good for handling results vs the previous year.

Actually, it was being touted as being designed with similar weight... but it's a moot point... C&D tested (and I assume the specs are for) a 6 speed manual.

I would have assumed only 30 pounds for the engine, and another 20 due to brakes, max.

Ouch.
