Yeah, and its all from exorbitant taxation in those notably liberal countries. Just thank your stars that we live here and not in a socialist disaster like most of the countries in Europe....

Dude... The prices are based (mostly) on volume of usage. The US is the greatest consumers of oil on the planet!!!
We have always paid far less than other countries.

You have to compare apples to apples.
If you want to do some analysis - check the price of gas in the US prior to George Bush Jr and this phony a$$ war that he and his administration has initiated.

Hell, the US is extremely close to a recession and yet Exxon is boasting about breaking an all-time record in profits, AGAIN!!!

A lot of those socialistic diasters also make it easier on their citizens to get a higher education thanks to high taxes on fuel, a much more educated populace is much more important then cheap gas...

I totally agree - I don't have a problem with the tax dollars that helps the populace.
Now, let me ask you this: Do you believe the majority of the revenue received from gas and oil is being targeted towards educating the populace??

Quick question referring back to the topic of MPG, every time I refill my gas tank back up with 91 octane (about 18 gallons), it says that my range is 227 miles (give or take a few miles). Is this not insanely low or what???

It is based on your driving habit and style. So if you drive in the city and you accelerate quickly to the speed limit, then yes this is normal. Just reset your ECU if your driving habits have changed and then after a tank of gas it should give you a good reading based on how you drive.

Honestly, the value of the European Union as a whole is higher then the U.S. (money being based on the value of it's government) due to U.S. instability both in our economy and our standing in the grand scheme of things. The U.K. has always had a great relationship with most of the world these last 30 yrs, hence why the pound was always of higher value then the dollar, but with the strengthening of the European Union, it goes without saying it's the currency of choice at the moment.

You just got your Coupe, your gas mileage will be on the low side until the engine is broken in, not to mention it sounds like your driving it a lil ruff.
