I've had the G for about 7 months. It's a 2009 G37XS I got it with 48kmi on it and have 57kmi on it. I get 22mpg in the summer and fall and it's at 20.5 in the winter in mixed driving with more city. I drive more aggressive than the average driver on the road but not crazy. I do usually give it heavy throttle to pass someone usually once or twice a day.
On the highway though I can get like 30mpg. I've gotten the gauge to say a range of 415 miles after filling up and then driving 80 miles of pretty much all highway.

I also did a round trip to Florida in December from New Jersey.
Best MPG on a tankful on the way down was between Ashland, Va and Florence, SC. 312 miles used 12.113 gallons for 25.757 MPG
Best MPG on a tankful on the return trip was between St. Mary, Ga. Exit 1 on I 95 and Dillon, SC.( a large Harbor Freight warehouse and retail store is here) 303 miles and used 11.104 gallons for 27.29 MPG
All on regular 87 octane and never went more than 5 MPH over the speed limit. My WAZE app kept announcing lots of police ahead.

You may have helped me prove out why I use high octane fuel.

I've had my 2010 G37x sedan now for about 4 months and I am getting 19 mpg overall. Usually, the majority of my driving is stop-and-go in the city. The best I have achieved on highway road trips is around 23 mpg (70-75 mph with cruise control as able). The city numbers make sense to me, but I have been disappointed with the highway cruising efficiency. I had expected to get in the mid-to-high 20s. For comparison, my old 2004 Subaru Legacy sedan got 21 mpg overall and around 26 mpg with highway cruising. Not a huge difference, but noticeable.

Right now in the cold weather I'm averaging around 18mpg doing the same combo of city/highway driving that I do all year round (work and back). During the warmer weather I'm seeing 20mpg. On the occasionally 2-3hr trip of mainly highway with little stop/go, the car has seen 26mpg. This is for an 09 X.

FWIW haven't reset my MPG monitor in a while, figured it's been running for approx 1500mi, two trips back and forth between DC & NY, the rest city driving in Arlington/DC, avg is 19.9 (93octane on OEM summer tires)
I'd say most of the highway miles were cruising at about 80mph, city is mostly bumper to bumper with the occasional spirited drive to grab groceries (usually go a few towns over so I can stretch its legs a little )

In the past 2 weeks I've averaged 23.9 mpg about 90% highway & 10% city driving
I have about a 100 mile round trip to work every day, and the past weekend put on about 250 miles going from Central NJ all the way out to eastern LI to Dix Hills for the people who know where that is.

Ok so I am back from Florida
First tank of gas roughly 450 miles @25.8 mpg averaging 80 mph (The first 70 miles were mixed driving and i reset the mpg when i hit the highway)
Second tank of gas 440 miles @25 mpg averaging 80-90 mph
2009 G37S 7AT 55K. Typhoon Intakes.
If i cruise between 60-70 i can get over 30 mpg but that is just boring. In the city I get pretty low mileage with short commutes. 5-10 miles a day.

I bought my 09 G37XS with about 30,000 miles on (lease return) in July 2012 and I have not reset the avg MPG since I've owned it. I have about 61,000 on it now, I put about 100 miles to work and back a day, mostly freeway miles, and It says 23.3 MPG. All on 87 octane. I guess I should try premium once just to see if it helps.
