Hey guys....figured i would post here instead of starting a new thread....
So i dropped my 11' G37S Sedan off at the dealership last night for some service..and they gave me a 13' G37 (base model) as a service loaner...i drive the car home..as i normally do..and i was getting approx 26mpg on my way home...drive the car...the same way i drive mine to work...and i was still getting like 25-26mpg...which seems high.
well in my 11' i get much less than that...i average about 22-24mpg...thats commuting and everything else...this service loaner is pretty much same except non-sport..17" wheels..
i cant image those things make that much a difference in MPG...
DOES IT?
someone help me with this..lol..its driving me crazy

well i just had it serviced last week and they set all 4 tires to 35 psi...and im pretty sure they fill them with nitrogen.
and yes they are both autos...i try to use my cruise control as much as possible on my hwy commute and i still never get above like 23-24....and i set the cruise to like ~70-74mph.

I tracked about 5500 miles with the Fuelly app on my phone (using the miles traveled in a tank divided by the gallons needed to fill up method). In driving conditions of 70% highway, 20% aggressive mountain road driving, and 10% city, the G37S 6MT Sedan returned 20.9mpg. The computer readout said 21.1mpg, so it's a little optimistic, but not too far off.
I just had R2C intakes and FI RFHCs installed along with a dyno tune and I will update in another 5500 miles.

I have a 2012 G37xs sedan. I have a 2.2 mile commute none of which is freeway. The only time the car sees the freeway is on the weekend and occasionally in the middle of the night when I need to drive my 3 month old son to sleep. After 2600 miles I'm averaging 15.6 miles. I run premium fuel(92 octane where I live) I had the dealer put ester oil in it when I took delivery (8 miles) and just did an oil change at my dealership again using ester oil. My driving habits are very hard on a car like this which is why I maintain it the way I do and this is the best mileage I can expect under such conditions. I knew this when I bought the car so no surprise(btw I love this car!)

I just recently bought a used 2010 G37 Journey Sedan with most of the option packages except Sport. I'm now on my second tank of gas and all of my mileage is city, I rarely ever see a highway. My first tank of gas got me 20mpg with only 50 of those miles coming from the highway, on my second tank its currently showing 19.7 on the fuel mileage display and to be honest I believe it to be correct since it was almost completely dead-on for my last tank of gas. I've been very impressed with the 19-20 city mpg in this car, not bad at all for a 330hp vehicle. Considering that the vehicle is rated at 19mpg in the city and I've been able to match that consistently, I'm pretty happy. All too often I usually come up 1-2mpg under the rated gas mileage of a vehicle so this has been a very pleasant surprise for me.
