I just recently started to use Synthetic oil Mobile 1 for my G. I noticed the MPG improved from 19 to 21 all of a sudden. I do not understand how this is possible as it seems a big jump. Needless to say, my engine drives alot smoother and more responsive than before. I'm very happy with switching to Synthetic oil and will not revert back to the cheap oil. I highly recommend it to all....

I'm at about 32000 miles on my 08 G37s 6MT. I did several trips from Central Oregon to Silicon Valley (535 miles). I get ~24mpg with the AC on averaging 67mph over that 535 miles (cruise control set at 83 mph for most of rural CA). In town it's down to 16. When I first got it at 20000 miles, It seemed to get better hwy miles at around 26-29. But I'm sure I was going much slower.

last night I got up to 38 mpg!!

Then I woke up and realized that I inverted my thoughts in my dreams with the new altima! I wish I got 38 mpg in the g!
Since I've had my car in 2009, I always average 21 mpg. I currently have 22,565 miles on my g

Just made a visit to NJ from Atlanta, Ga. I have a 2012 G37 Journey Sedan w/18" wheels. I had 3500 miles on the car when I left and put on a total of 2185 miles total. I am a conservative driver and set my cruise control at 72 and for the 800 mile trip the computer showed 30.7 average. I filled up before I left and used 26.3 gallons for the trip. This included some short bursts to 85 and 90, car's performance outstanding, guess I am not as conservative as I thought. I reset the computer for my trip back and averaged 30.1 mpg. At 72 I was running a little above 2500rpm. Plenty of power in D and seemed to really perform in DS. Not sure what mileage I would have gotten if I left it in DS for long periods of time. Hope this helps.

These numbers are incredible. I get like 12-14mpg city (NYC) on my 2012 G37x Sedan.
It's ridiculous.
& I don't even drive like an idiot yet, I'm still breaking in the car and have only around 1100-1200miles.
Like I knew it'd be bad, but not THIS BAD.

Why is my MPG so unbelievable bad?!

I feel like I'm driving a damn Hummer or something.
I have a 2012 G37x.
I get like 11-12 MPG. I've reset it once, thinking maybe when the car was transported to my house from the dealership he was stuck in traffic or whatever it may be.
At that point it stayed around 14 MPG. After standing in a little more traffic & idling a tiny bit it shot back down to around 12MPG. Now it's around 11.7ish.

I fill it up with 93.
I drive with my AC on at 72 on the lowest speed.

I don't drive like a complete idiot. I only have around 1200 miles on the car. I live in Brooklyn, NY and probably around 75% of my driving is city.

So WHY?!

you answered your own question in everything you stated lol. Also car is still being broken in, mileage will get better as time goes on. To do s real world test keep track of miles per tank and do the math, when your sitting at a light your getting 0 mpg

Really? That's normal? Because in the other thread I haven't seen anything under 20. & I understand almost no other city will be as congested as NYC gets, but still, I'd expect like 17-18 city at least!

Really? Well that makes me kinda happy to know to be honest. Because I'm on here seeing >20 constantly and it's making me feel mad upset lol.
I knew it'd swallow gas but I never imagined I'd be filling up as often as a Hummer lol. But oo well. I was just trying to make sure my G is normal & not having any problems.
