I've found the computer to be within 1 mpg, usually less than .5 different. This is about as good as it can get, considering that it changes in .3 mpg increments.

I did not check the accuracy of the onboard display, however, here are the numbers from my Vegas to Texas trip. Going I averaged 74.8 mph and 25.6 mpg. This is over a 1106 mile trip from door to door with an overnight stop in New Mexico. Heading back I averaged 76.3mph and 25.8mpg and roughly 1120 miles from door to door with the same stay in New Mexico. The mpg would bouce up and down from 25 to 27 mpg as I went up and down the various hills and mountains but these numbers reflect what was indicated when I reached my final destinations.

MY G37x 2012 gets no more than 17.5mpg for 4 months already. I fill up every three days and i drive 50/50 meaning at times i push the car exploiting its capabilitys where i make crazy turns ,stops, and top speed. There are thsoe days where i keep the car running no higher than 4rpm . Over this G sedan guzzles gas!!!!! but i love the car!!!

I did a 100 mile drive today, that I had been doing all winter (usually eats up a little more than a quarter tank) and got what appeared to be great mileage doing about 65-75 most of the way... Got back home and the needle was at the hashmark right before the 3/4 mark...filled up and the DTE read 366 and was over 375 when I finally got home...thought something was broken for a second

Mileage on my G37
I just bought my G37 in April and took my first road trip last weekend.
Sugar Land, Tx to Destin Fl
I reset everything when I left Destin, the trip was 575 miles. I did it in 9 hours and I averaged 23 miles a gallon. The main slowdown was for traffic, and stopped and ate at Chilies.
I really do not trust the gas gauge. I have owned an FX-45 2006 and a Titan 2008 in the past both of the vehicles gas gauges failed around the 80K mileage mark. The FX-45 I never fixed the Titian had a recall and it was fixed.

2008 G37 68,9xx miles Auto
Used to get 21mpg [80% city + 20% highway] for the first 3 yrs or so.
Then dropped to 18.1mpg (same conditions) over the past 6 months or so.
Got new air filter at recent 60,000 mile service. Now getting 19mpg city.
Not driving any highway miles regularly, but when I do I get about 25mpg (I reset the computer when I do).

I got 32 mpg highway!!!! I don't do much highway driving, but out of curiosity I did a check. I have a 2009 Sport Coupe with the manual trans that has just under 16,000 miles on it. I topped up the tank and got onto I95 and set the cruise control to 55 mph and drove for 50 miles. When I exited I drove to the first gas station and topped it up again. Amazingly I calculated just over 32 mpg.
Of course, most people won't be driving 55 mph, but I wanted to see what kind of mileage I would get using the EPA standard. I got about 28% better than the EPA highway rating for this car.
