Miles Per Gallon Feedback

My G37 gets much better gas mileage than my G35 coupe did. On my last tank, I got 23.4 miles per gallon with 75% highway. I'd say I get about 1-2 mpg average better than the G35 coupe (both 6MTs). If I drive with a feather foot, I can keep the online mileage indicator near 24-25 mpg. I took my car in for an oil change and got an '07 G35x sedan. With the same driving techniques (extremely light footed) - I couldn't get the indicator above the 20 mpg mark in mixed city/highway driving. Big big plus on the mileage in my book.

Hate to bump an old thread but what kind of mileage you guys getting per tank? or km's for Canadian's?
I remember in my G35C I would get about 400-450km a tank. I'm already at 425km on my first tank and my G37 is projecting another 115km to go so that's 540km or so on one tank which is pretty good to me (340miles). Now I don't know if they increased the size of the tank in this car over the G35, but what numbers are other owners seeing?

BTW... driving to my gf's place in the same city... but going opposite traffic... got me 23 MPG at an average of 35-37 MPH.
THerefore, although some of you say x% in city/hwy, it all depends how serious the traffic in the city/highway is. Can everyone try to include their average MPH too?

Speaking of miles per tank, can someone comment on how many gallons are left in the tank (20 gallon capacity) when the DTE (distance to empty) light/indicator message comes on showing say 20-30 miles left? I have heard the Nissan's have the fuel pump located in the tank and cooled by the gas and as such, when DTE shows empty, there is still ~ 4 gallons or 20% left, i.e. to cool the pump.

2000 miles on my car so far (6 speed Sport Pkg). Mileage in city driving is 15-18 mpg. Steady highway driving, usually averaging about 70-75 mph gives 24-24.5 mpg (overall, about 1-2 mpg less than my old 04 G35C under the same conditions).

I got my car last Friday. Got about 21 MPG on my first tank, mostly highway. Just finished my second tank. It was on a 400 mile trip, all highway with cruise set at 70 90% of the time. I got 23.9 MPG according to the computer. By my calculations of miles traveled / gallons to refill the tank, I got 24.8. I'm happy considering I only have 700 miles on her.

You have the 20% Highway and 80% City people...And you have vice versa...When the highway people are gettin an extra 4-5 MPG that adds up on the whole tank....City heads will probably be right around 15 with the occasional spirited driving and majority 3k shifts....most of my driving is suburban 35-50MPH with occasional highway. I passed break in and am at 1230 miles with 15.4 MPG.....
Does the avg MPG meter in the control panel update weekly??
