I am on my second gas of tank and am traveling. I got 26mph on my second tank of gas in higway driving and the averafe speed was 20 over the speed limit on the interstate as that was speed of most cars in the left lane.
I am thrilled with the gas mileage on this car especially compared to the rotary I had before that got something like 13/16 on city/highway.

damn, you must redline that thing 24/7 huh. i think that is normal, the engine is not broken in yet is probably why the gas mileage is so low. im not really sure because i drove home 800 miles after getting the car, i average 26 miles.

My first tank was a combo of city driving and me testing the car out on back roads. However, i am trying to break the car in right so I varied the RPMS a great deal. I got just over 16mpg with city and fun driving on my first tank.
The 14mpg sounds low or that you were really driving it hard.
Also, make sure you do the math yourself and dont truth the MPG the car estimates although mine is pretty close.

Corvettes are just great at gas mileage (19/28 for a manual C5), especially considering how much power they have, even if they are ~3300 lbs. I've always praised GM's engineers for that...

Yeah, this is my 3rd tanks of gas and I'm getting around 15mpgs.... Sucks b/c my commute to work is a short distance (about 6 miles) but its traffic and city streets only.

I have three problems with the Vette and this is just my personal opinion:
1. There are so many of them that you see them all the time.
2. They tend to be too twitchy especially around the 2004/2005 versions.
3. They have a great engine but the interior always looks cheap to me and I know several people with a lot of issues with the interior and some cheap components.
With that said, I will say the Vette engine is a monster and it is tough to top. I dont look at the Vette as a competitor to the G37. The GT-R is the Nissan competitor to the Z06.

I have been averaging 19.7mpg while averaging slightly under 30mph. As you can tell I do mainly city driving for short distances. I am very content with the results so far. When I am on the highway it will obviously spike to around 26+. Can't complain at these numbers for a 330hp car.
