On my 4th tank of gas consistently getting 20.5 mph. 92 oct @ $4.60 gal. (Strange how we drivers in Washington State get poked with higher gas prices with a refinery only 50 miles away.) Pretty much 57 mph speed on highway driving. On a different note, I sometimes feel like I'm the bas**rd child G37 with an automatic, but lov'in every second of driving it.

50 miles away? There are at least 3 refineries less than 20 miles from my home and we got oil wells pumping oil day in and day out and we pay $4.85 for 91 oct here...WAS state is like heaven compared to what we got going here in CA lol.

Well I'm certainly not going to complain, here in GA its around $4.25 for 93, although the news continues to iterate that we are above the national average in GA. I find that hard to believe, considering what you guys report and that our neighboring state SC has the cheapest gas in the nation.

Leon, my car currently has 900 miles on it, its still a baby. I do not know if it will improve with additional miles on the clock. Personally I do not believe it will. I do find it a little hard to believe the advertised 26mpg average on a 6MT; even cruising on a flat road at 60mph I can not average this. The highest I have seen mine is 25.2mpg.

On a different note, heres something to cheer us up. I spoke to my dad back in England, who filled up his 3 series diesel (diesel is not much more expense than unleaded in the U.K, perhaps 10c per gallon). The cost to fill up in USD, about $160. Thankfully he averages about 38mpg.

just got my G (!) and it came with a full tank...

the way i see it, i didn't pay for this tank so i'm not worrying about conserving gas.. i'm going to enjoy the car for this tank then once its MY fuel in it i'll start to drive conservatively..

10.2 mpg

Up to 15.7 overall now with 3800 miles on my G. Numbers have improved continually since I got the car as u can see from my previous numbers above. Now if only I could get up to the 19-20MPG numbers that some of you guys are getting, just can't bring myself to follow the shifts listed in the manual, talk about boring, LOL!!
