I was at 13.8 on computer after about 750 miles, now with 1750 I'm up to 14.8, same exact driving patterns all along. This is based on the overall mileage since I bought the car, I never cleared or reset the number on the computer by the spedometer. So it seems true that mileage is going to go up as we climb toward 10k miles, hopefully I continue to pick up 1 mpg per 1000, miles, at that rate I'll be up to 23.8 by 9750 miles, LOL, in my dreams!!

My average pumping Chevron was 350-360 miles on a full tank! One day i had no choice but to pump Citgo and i got a little over 400 miles on that full tank! Just thought that was a bit weird....thought cheaper gas would of burned quicker!

I am only getting around 10mpg, I only have 1180 miles on the car, but still i think 10 is really low. Should I have my dealer look at the car, or will the mpg go up after the break in is over?

where do you live ^ if you drive over hills a lot then that would explain it... also your MPG will start to go up after break in...
Mine still only hovers around 16MPG when im nice.. :/

I live in jersey, which is pretty flat, I do get on it from time to time, but not enough to leave me at 10mpg. I guess ill just wait until the break in and see if it changes at all. Thanks.

My average is reading around 18.9 but when I hit those long freeway stretches I can see i'm pulling around 21-23 mpg. But with the street lights it keeps that average pretty low. Easiest way to go is check at fill up, see how many miles you've drivin v. how much gas burned, I know break out the phone calculators but the trip reader on the cars average is way too broad. that's like MPG of the life of the car not based tank to tank.

BTW...I've got a little more than 5K and getting a steady 23 on avg speed of 50 mph (also shown on same readout as above) going back and forth to work...use cruise on the stretches of highway and find places...like on-ramps...to feel the acceleration...still around 23....

use the one in the dash...(the one in red between the speedo and tach) and just reset it with the lower right hand button after a fill-up...I've found this to be fairly accurate compared to my calcs of actual fills...
