I don't do enough highway driving to find the sweet spot where I get the best fuel economy, @ 74 on the speedo it's typically around 26.3 and in town 13.5 - 14.5.
Yesterday I was on a stretch of I80 from DSM to CR and computer said 27.9 - it's usually very close to a manual calculation. Around 90 degrees, cruise set at 78, however car said 73.7 so I need to check with smartphone GPS app, RPM @ 2,500. I reset the MPG at speed and this was after +/- 75 miles so I would assume accurate.

3 reports, all from onboard compy.
1. City driving only ~100mi over 2 weeks. Not agressive, little traffic, summertime, fresh oil. 13.4mpg, avg speed ~20mph
2. Rush hour in the city, 68mi over 10 days. Agressive and stop and go through construction and around busses. 9mpg, @ 12mph.
3. Mostly Highway, some NYC (Into & out of brooklyn/prospect pk through CT). I roadtripped from BOS to NYC 4 times this summer (~1600mi), just after I got the car. New oil, after the first trip. Avg'd 21mpg across all trips. Got 24mpg one time though.
These normal numbers? I was expecting better in the city... Highway checks out.
I'm starting my manual count, vs. torque ODBII Log, vs. ECU testing with the next fill up.

Mixed Driving city+freeway (calm+agressive)
Hi,
I work 13 miles from my work, 3 miles city 10 miles freeway. I do have fun sometime with aggressive acceleration. I am getting around 20-23mpg, this is same as my 2012 accord v6, but I drove accord more often aggressively than my g37, because i just bought it
I drove this from LA to Arizona straight 7 hours drive, got 1 speeding warning ticket and i had 27.2 mpg
I hope it helps.

18.5 MPG. Hasn't changed from that value in forever. Mostly suburban driving, with maybe one or two long road-trips each year.

I usually got 18.5MPG with 50/50 City and HWY Driving (I usually have to go hard on foot when I am entering Highway and also driving in city on weekends (Also I got my car on Oct of 2018). But After I changed engine oil and used gumout, somehow I am getting 19.5~20MPG with same driving. I don't really use the Average MPG on car since sometimes it can give you wrong numbers. So I usually just set my trip A from 0 with full tank and when I am refueling my car, I calculate how many miles I drove divided by gallons I put in my car. That seems to give you more accurate when you add up. But this is just what I do, and I won't say I am 100% correct with my method or you should do it etc, I just do this because I just thought computers can be wrong.

50% highway + 50% city
2007 G35S (VQ35HR 305HP) : 18.5 mpg
2017 GSF (466HP) : 17.5 mpg
100% 3-5 mile city trips
2010 M35X (VQ35HR 305HP) : 11.5 mpg <<<< Believe it or not. After I full charge almost 10 year old factory battery in M35X every month, the MPG becomes at least 12.5 mpg. Its throttle response also becomes better. (It sounds my M35X becomes a semi-electric car now!?! )
100% highway at 75 mph
2007 G35S (VQ35HR 305HP 3500lbs) : 26 mpg <<< 5 speed auto run at quite high rpm on highway. As a result, this old G feels like a superman on the highway all the time.
2017 GSF (466HP 4000 lbs) : 26 mpg <<< feel slow on highway at normal mode but it wakes up a bit when downshift to the lower gears or at sport mode.
2010 M35X (VQ35HR 305HP 4000lbs) : 21 mpg <<< 5 speed auto also. So similar feel as G35S on highway

My mileage for the past fourteen months. As you can see, I don't drive all that much.
The 9.8 mpg entry was a track event. I was curious to see how low it was. I believe that was only two sessions, the mpg might have been worse if I drove all four sessions that day.

I also check tailpipes on G, M and GSF. Both G and Ms' are cleaner than GSF's.
I think Nissan engines may not be the fastest but they are very good for daily drive (good torque in lower rpm) except modern turbo engines (also tuned for lower rpm)

Settled at 19.7 and been there for a while now after buying the car. My commute is a mix of local and highway. Mostly 55-65mph with some lights in between and a little bit of neighborhood, stop and go and parking garage speeds. I try to ring her out once a day.
It’s doing better than my expectations. I was going to be happy with anything over 18
