2008 G35 Coupe CONVERTIBLE

I hope they never make a softtop convertible G because it would be just as ugly and silly as a convertible Acura 3.2CL TypeS would have been yet everyone on that forum always hoped for and hyped rumors about that as well. =P

the g35 staying coupe-only wouldn't be so bad. the 3er is getting released with a coupe and a hardtop convertible, and it looks as though the IS will be released as only a hardtop convertible. pricewise, the G, as it will be coupe only, will steal a lot of sales the IS could have had if it were just a cheaper coupe, and not such an expensive hard top vert.

The brembo's are back, its going to have spinning 26 inch wheels and a full glass hardtop roof. Theyre replacing the LED's with filament bulbs because the LED's draw too much power, and they are putting new high technology halogens for the headlights. The front windshield retracts into the motor for a 100% convertible. Driving it will be a full blast of air, literally. Oh how I cannot wait, its gonna be a real big seller!

Was talking to a Inifinti Manager today and he mentioned that there will be a Coupe Convertable. It looks like it will be released about a year after the std. Coupe gets released. He didnt say if it would be hard top or not tho, but I would imagine it would be since it would be a Infiniti and Nissan got hte soft top covered with the 350z roadster.

OK, so I've been a member here long enough to have seen countless "OMG, have U seen this G35 convertible!!11!1!" threads, the photoshops, and the flames that inevitably follow.
That being said, here's a quote from over at FreshAlloy from a couple of months ago:
Danny used to work for Grubbs Infiniti in Texas, and now is the GM of Prestige Infiniti in Las Vegas. He posts regularly over at FA and has sold many, many G35s to forum members. His information tends to be pretty good. In particular, he was dead on regarding the changes to the '05s when everyone else was still speculating.
Does that mean there's a convertible in the works? I dunno. But at least this comes from a reasonably good source.

Starting next Wednesday (2-1-05) I will rejoin the Infiniti family after my few months vacation which included a brief 10 day introduction to what I like to call "The Dark Side" which was BMW. I will be the GM of a large Infiniti dealership in the desert southwest.
I have already contacted FA about putting together some specials for FA members ans we are alreadt looking forward to the Spring of 2007 and the introduction of the G35 Convertible which will probablt debut as a 2008 model.
I think you will be very happy with what we roll out week after next.
GLAD TO BE BACK!
