my guess 310 - 330 HP V6
I think it will only be 310 - 330 HP b/c just thinking about it ... whats the highest HP group in the lineup, isn't it the Q45 with 340, then comes the M with 335 with the same motor? ... so in reality how much higher would they make the G's HP output, I would say at max they would make it a 340 HP v-6 ... just my guess ... thoughts?
Other thoughts:
- Fog lights look to be in the headlights like the current model, from what I can tell lots of pple aren't a fan of the fogs in the headlight assembly ?
- Rear end is nasty BUT it seems like everyone thinks this thing is ready for production ... they called it a CONCEPT for a reason
- Overall length, doesn't it seem longer and heavier then the current one? I think that they are gunna follow bmws 3 series trend, i believe the old 330 is faster then the current one

Nissan always leave room for 'engine tweaks' after initial release. The current G35 motor was first rated at 260hp, and slowly creep up to 280hp, then 298hp. I am guessing the next generation G will start out at 320hp and slowly make it way up toward the 350hp. The GT-R will probably be rated at 420hp and move up from there to 450hp after a year or two.
It's obvious that the days of VQ35DE is numbered, let's just hope the next V6 will be more forgiving to FI application. On a side note, the new Lexus LS460 makes 380hp/370lb.ft. I am guessing Nissan is now busy developing a new VK engine to fight the new Toyota power plant. So for those of you hoping for a G45, might as well pray for a G50.

I seriously hope the next GT-R will have more than 420HP if it'll cost around $70k like rumored. But that's for another thread. I think the G will probably start around 320HP, no less than 310HP I think because the IS350 is already makeing 305 or 306HP. They still want the HP throne. I think they probably still be using the VQ, with the tach redline @ 7500RPM, I seriously hope it's VQ35VE. That would be sweet. Basically, it should have the performance similar to the current M3. That would be perfect for a car under $40k and would definitely put it on top again.
The LS460 4.6L makes 380HP and 370ft-lb of tq, that's very impressive HP/L even w/out lift technology. I hope Nissan follow Toyota/Honda route by getting more HP/L instead of just bumping up the displacement and make it low/slow revving. VK45DE has been around for awhile now, time for a full update.

I predict a more advanced version of the current VQ35:
3.5L V6
325hp 280ft.lb
7300RPM redline
direct injection
intelligent variable valve timing on both intake/exhaust
electric power steering
cylinder shutoff
30mpg
3200lbs curb weight
and stuffed in a shell that's under 35K please

I think it will be the v6 from the upcoming gt-r without the turbos and possibly some weaker interal parts. I hight doubt the gt-r engine will be designed specifically for the gt-r and only for the gt-r, that just aint what nissan does. So if that happens, the next G could be a good FI candidate. 320-330hp sounds resonable.

I heard rumors of a 450z with a tuned M45 engine in it. Would be nice if they made a few options on the new coupe like a v8 or a v6.... I think it's time for a G45 and this new design could give them the room they need to make it an option.....Let's hope

There's no way a G45 would be made.
