They have to rise to the level competion (E92 335i) on the performance & handling as well. (at least get close).
If they can do that, the value ($) will sell a lot of cars.

Yes all are important.
I believe Infiniti will likey have a styling edge (exterior) over the 335 BMW (upscale and conversative but not very sporty IMHO) - although I have not seen one in person yet. From the coupe concept the interior may be a serious jump ahead as well. Whether the G Coupe will come close on the vehicle dynamics and performance is another question though. Who knows about price?

We should get a reasonable idea of vehicle dynamics from the sport sedan.
Springs, shocks & sways may be different, but base components should be close. (like now)
I would expect price to rise somewhat, but still hold the relationship with the sedan.
I guess we'll just have to twiddle our thumbs a while longer.

Well, condiering the 07 6MT Sedan's 0-60 time is 5.2 seconds, I'm gonna venture to say the G35 Coupe in 08 will be plenty capable as far as engine performance goes.
Oh, and that's a G35 Sedan, not a G37 ..

Just got back to the office;
as happenstance would have it, I passed by a BMW dealer and just had to stop for a look
They had 5 new E92 coupes that just rolled off the truck yesterday.
Your impressions are pretty much on target with the 335i.
It is a beautiful, sexy car.... but in a more elegant sophisticated way.
Maybe a few aftermarket tidbits would help with a more sporty look.

Funny but those were the exact words I was searching for.
I had them on my mind the day before but had a brain fart when I posted and couldn't recall.
I'm going to roll by our dealer tomorrow and have a peak. They aren't clients of mine but some other dealers in their group are.

The good news: That concept you see is VERY close to what the actual production model will look like. -video cams for rear view -all glass roof. -those 20" wheels.
The bad news: It's not that far off. This is the 2008 model, due out in 2007, (possiblly as early as June of 2007)
We known all this for a long time. These pictures are old. . . . months old.
