A/C problem
Hey guys,
I want to ask if the thermostat can affect the AC cooling? and how to know if my thermostat is bad.
My problem is that my AC is blowing hot and cold air alternatively (hot most of the time) anyone can help or had the same problem could help me with that. 🙏

The thermostat has no effect on the performance of the AC system. A failing thermostat would result in engine overheating.
Be specific, at what times does the AC "blow cold" versus when it "blows hot?"
For example, if the AC is cold at highway speeds but gets warm/ hot when you slow down or come to a stop then the issue is likely the fan(s). That was my symptom/ issue years ago.

The most you could do at this point is test the fans by running the IPDM/er Self Test. This will test your fans at 50% duty and 100% duty. At 100% they should be screaming loud.
If the fans test good, then you'll have to take it in to a shop for further testing.

I would just bite the bullet and hit the dealer up. When mine was doing that turns out I had overfilled the system. The recharge cost me $110 back in 2016. AC been blowing ice cold since
