Coilovers
Hey guys,
I'm new to the g37 group and new to owning a RWD/AWD car.
I just bought a 2011 G37xS coupe and have a dumb question because it has AWD capability. I'm looking to put coilovers on it and was curious if I have to look for specific coilovers for AWD or will the G37 RWD coilovers work as well?
Any help or roasting will be much appreciated.

AWD owner here, yes, you have to make sure the set of coilovers you purchase are designed for the AWD model.
The lower portion of the front struts is different on the AWD.
The AWD front lower strut mount Is a shaft that gets clamped in a sleeve, whereas the RWD front struts mount using a yoke of sorts.
Not all coilover manufacturers make both versions.
I would recommend that when purchasing to either call or email the retailer to ensure the set you ordered is in fact for the AWD.

I bought BC racing. I have a little less than 15K on them and no issues so far. Roads I daily on are in good shape though.
I would base the decision on your road conditions, the worse the roads are that you daily, then the more you would need to spend on coilovers ; )
