Exclamation Car Ignition Problems

Problem:
The last time I turned on my car was about a week ago. As of three days ago, I noticed that the rear tail lights were on. My first thought was I must have left the lights on by accident. I get inside my car and noticed they were off already. So I did what anyone else would do and turn the lights on and off. Nothing happened. Today I had time to try to figure out what the problem was. I got inside my car and without the foot on the gas pedal, I wanted to see if I can just put it on the on position and turn the power off. So I did just that. And the car turned on. It skipped ACC and it went straight to ON and the motor started running, all without me having my foot on the gas pedal. I tried it once more but this time hitting the button twice to try to stop the car from starting and just leave it in the ON position. I did just that and turned the car off. My tail lights are still on.

The car completely skipped ACC, and I'm currently trying to figure out if I blew a fuse? Or is the ignition switch old and needs to be replaced? I had a battery tender connected to the car for that one week but It shouldn't cause an issue right? I have a 2008 G37S Coupe with 77K miles.

Thanks!

Check your brake pedal switch. If the engine starts without pressing the BRAKE pedal, the switch is either out of adjustment or the rubber pad/spacer popped off.
