Window won’t move down or up when I open the door

When I bought my 2008 g37s coupe the window switches on the driverside didn’t work to open my passenger side window so I got a new one from amazon, it’s worked good so far but the window doesn’t do the thing where it used to go down and move back up so as to not hit the top of the car. Idk why this is, might be because it’s not an oem part or something, I’ve tried resetting the module like it says on all the YouTube videos but idk what else I could do, anyone else run into this problem?

Try replacing the fuse under the hood.

Im having this exact issue. We’re you ever able to fix it? I have a 2010 g37 convertible and i recently had to change the window control switch as it had gotten wet and damaged. I ordered the piece from amazon it was 45 dollars but i’m guessing it’s probably for the sedans as they don’t need the 1/2 inch window slide effect. I think an oem window control switch for the coupe would fix the problem. As of rn i’m stuck with closing the door slowly to not damage the window from hitting the top of the window frame.
