Upgraded to 2013 steering wheel from a 2009 which was worn and the trims peels off as we all know !

THe dash is holding up very well !

 

If only the dash were as easy a swap as the steering wheel is/was.

 

Not that hard to remove and put in the dashboard, if you have the extension tool for the socket wrench. I could do it again in an hour or less. The only hard part is finding the best used dashboard.

 

Did you disconnect the battery?

 

Yes then wait at least 15 mins before disconnecting the airbag

 

Removing the steering wheel is very easy. Just remember that you will need a T30 Torx security bit to remove the two bolts securing the airbag to the steering wheel. Or, if your car has the anti-theft bolts, make sure you have the right key.

When I swapped to a 2018 Q60 wheel, the whole project took less than 30 minutes.
