Sound from Dash area after a loud POP
Hello fellow members,
I know this topic has been heavily discussed before but I think my situation may be more unique. I own a CPO ‘14 model. It was bought in 2017 and I’ve owned it a little over 1.5 years. It has 24K miles. Until 4 weeks ago, the car had no sound whatsoever. Everything was quiet. So around 4 weeks ago, as I was accelerating to enter a highway, I hear this very loud pop sound. It sounded like a huge windshield rock hit. Luckily the windshield was fine - it was not any rock chip. Since then, there is a sound coming from inside the dash as if something was loose. The car drives fine and there is no warning lights or anything wrong. Has anyone heard of this problem before? I really think something broke loose under the dash and is creating this sound. Please reply if you know what happened or know of a solution. Could this be related to the windshield popping and J strip fix? Is there really a TSB - if so, does anyone know a link to it? Thank you for your help.

Your first thread on this subject was moved to the Tech/Interior, Exterior, Body & Lighting forum, which is the appropriate location for it. You posted the same thread in the Coupe forum again, which was deleted because it was a duplicate of your first thread. You posted this yet again in the Coupe forum, which I'm closing to make sure you read this post. Please stop posting it in the Coupe forum, use the thread in the Tech section. Thanks.
