Got rear ended by family member and was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a 2010 g37x coupe silver metallic rear bumper.

Also would it be easy to replace the bumper by myself? Or would I need a shop to do it.

Why bother? Do you have comprehensive insurance?
You'll still have to pay a deductible unless your family member is found to be at fault.

If you found a matching bumper it's a simple DIY. BUT, if any of the metal and mounting points have been tugged at to kinked by the impact, however light it might've been, you'll need a body shop to do it correctly. With that in mind if you do go to a shop…

DO NOT let them paint the entirety of the rear quarters to blend with the bumper cover paint, that is unnecessary!!! Trust me on that, it happened to me for the identical amount of damage to my rear bumper on a car I once owned and the painting of the rear quarter panels mismatched my paint colors from front to back! The car never looked the same, even after having them repaint the quarters to match TWICE.

 

Thats my goal, to find a matching bumper. How much did it cost you at the shop for them to just mount the rear bumper?

 

If he is using insurance at least they will paint and blend right painted bumper is 500-700 and shipping

 

If its factory paint on your car, and you find a bumper with factory paint, they will match. Ive replaced plenty of factory silver parts, and they matched....

Ebay, Amazon, Google "painted g37 bumper cover" and go from there. Prices range from 200ish all the way to over 800. You can also search local recycling (junk) yards. Hope this helps!
