Replacing 08 G37s Fuel Pump - Procedure and Part #
I just need info to be sure I know what I'm doing.
Yesterday while driving, I came to a stop to pull out of a driveway, the engine was still running but nothing happened when I pressed the gas pedal. I let it idle to the next driveway, pulled in, parked, turned it off, waited 5 minutes, and then it ran fine.
Today, it cranks, but won't start. I'm thinking it's the fuel pump. To replace it, I can't find a lot of information on the web.
What's the correct pump part#?
It's under the backseat on the passengers side?
I only purchase the interior pump? Not the entire housing?
Do I disconnect the battery while replacing it?
Any other precautionary measures or important information I should know about?
Thanks.

The pump is incased in the pump fuel sending unit housing. It is under the seat on the passenger side. 08 uses a specific pump set up. I would just buy a used pump with full assembly on ebay, or pm me, i have one for an 08 I'll sell you if interested. Disconnect battery for safe measure, before you pull it, I would vacuum all the dust on the cover, so it won't get in the tank. High pressure line disconnects with push clip, as does harness. Try not to let fuel drip on the tank o ring seal, it can cause it to swell. Really easy job. Back seat may be hard to pull up and have you questioning if your doing it right, but pull hard, it will lift off eventually. Remember, if looking for a used pump, find the one specific to 08.
