All G'd Up, I think you should repaint the color to the left to IPL. Contrast would look great.

Hey IPL owners! I stumbled across this thread while looking for a used Motordyne CBE haha. But I'm fairly a new owner to my '12 G37 IPL 7AT. From my experience shopping for an IPL, the 6MT's are EXTREMELY rare. I'd say 3/10 IPL's are manual trans. Originally I was looking for a 6MT IPL but definitely didn't regret getting the 7MT. At the time, there were only about 14 IPL's total for sale in the US. And only 2 were manual. One in New Mexico and another in Idaho, mind you I'm in California. I waited a couple of months and one popped up just a few miles from me and it was going for a good price so I hopped on it asap. As for the front wheel gap, I'll be going with Eibach pro lowering springs and 20mm spacers on all wheels. Sticking with the IPL wheels because they just look so good. Motordyne CBE, Takeda CAI, and Whiteline bushings are up next. Anyways, here's my IPL...

Nice IPL! These cars are awesome. I have a 2012 6MT and yes they are extremely rare I got lucky and only had to drive 3 hours away to buy mine. The only thing I wish mine had was the red interior. Good mod choices. I just painted the wheels satin black and put 20mm spacers all around. I’m gonna go with Swift springs and the Takeda CAI next.

Have you ever had any trouble with the clutch slave cylinder? I've read about it and personally know two G37S owners (not IPL) that have had to get it done and eventually went with the Z1 CSC. Seems like a good amount of 6MT owners have had this issue from the forums. That defect also pushed me to get the 7AT instead, aside from the horrible Bay Area traffic. And I also thought about powdercoating my wheels black! But since my plan is to wrap my IPL blue, I'd want to see it with the gunmetal wheels first.

I haven’t had any prob yet but yeah it could go at any time. I only have 51k miles and I keep my clutch fluid clean. And it’s not that hard to replace, my cousin just did it in his 370. I’d rather take the chance with the MT than drive an automatic, even with the paddles. I actually plasti dipped my wheels in case I wanna go back to stock I can but I love how the black looks. Blue wrap will prob look good but yeah depending on the shade of blue the black may not go with it.

Yeah it’s a bad design. I preferred the clutch feel in my G35. I’ll eventually upgrade the clutch and slave, hopefully before it fails and leaves me stranded.

I wanna keep the stock susp comfort as much as possible but lose some of wheel gap. I'd like to see some IPL's with mods to get some thoughts of what I'm gonna do in the future. Thanks.
