I'm looking for a safe key hot under the hood and dash.I want to run a couple lites and air horns.I'm using a solinoid to start with just to access the main power.I want everything to shut off with key firstly.I will use the proper relays after that.I just need a trigger to open solinoid.It opens with 9v+.I can't imagine it needing more than 1 amp to open.I found 10+key hots but don't want to throw a code because of the extra load on that particular tap in.I appreciate any input

 

Can't you just tap remote line off ignition

 

Yea-i got that-thats my question-I deal with new truck all day.If one of my guys taps into the wrong fuse in the box to turn on a plow controller. If that circuit sences a slight voltage drop,it throws a code 10 miles later.I just want to make sure my g isn't that touchie.I have 20 thing i can tap under the hood but i only want to run/do it once.My solinoid only need 3 volts/.2 amps to open.
