G37 coupe xS Questions about future mods.

Hey everyone I have a g37xs 2012. Recent bolt ons I have so far is just motordyne full exhaust and gen 3 stillen duel intakes. Future wise I wanted to get maybe art pipes, headers like Z1, and a manifold before a tune. Is it possible to customize fitment on both motordyne art pipes on an x? Will I have to get o2 sensors to not have cel light on? Same question goes for z1 headers. Possible to customize them to? Just some questions I had open to anyone who knows. Thanks g team

Absolutely possible to make anything work. Just need to take it to an exhaust shop and tell them what you want. I wouldn't recommend going through the trouble of headers unless they're long tubes though. You will need the down stream o2's installed to avoid a CEL but if you plan to get a tune anyway, they can turn it off. Pretty simple stuff.

Had a similar question about exhaust work. Wondering if it was the same as the rest. Z1 headers also needs a z1 pipe in order to be compatible I believe. "The Z1 headers utilize only VQ35DE/Revup Test pipes and HFC's and from there it is compatible with the rest of the exhaust OEM, or aftermarket. You cannot bolt up VQ37 cats, test pipes or HFC's." Here is another fellow g member's post "The z1 headers will absolutely not fit the X. The motor mount hits the first header run on driver side. I had to go with stillen." Well then I guess that does not leave me with much options, but different headers or shave motor mount down.

Which sensors did you end up getting? Oh man how are the pipes after the install? Heard good things about it!

Yeah the Z1 header wont fit unless you hammer on it a ton, not worth it. If you MUST have headers, Stillen is your option. Surfnazi means he bought new sensors to install instead of trying to remove the old ones, they can be really stuck on there and need to be torched sometimes.
