Proud new owner!!

What's up everyone,

I've posted here a few times, but just the other day, I finally purchased my G37! My previous and first car, was a G35 sedan 6MT, which I had for 5 years and absolutely loved. When it came time to sell her and start thinking about which car was going to be my next, the G37 seemed like an easy choice. In my opinion, there is no better car for the money when you consider performance, luxury, and exterior aesthetics.

After looking at about nearly 10 different G's I found the one; a 2013 G37s coupe, 44k miles. It has a rebuilt title. No engine bay or structural damage whatsoever; all body. I paid $12,000 and I think it was a steal.

That said, I'm incredibly excited about this beauty and I look forward to being a member of this forum. As I was unable to with my G35, I plan on doing quite a bit of mods to this car, big and small, so stay tuned.

Here are some pics!

Thanks! Technically, the first was painting the roof and mirrors black. I had the shop do it before I picked her up. Having second thoughts as to whether I should have wrapped the roof, but

Yesterday, I threw on some Carsmo ***** which look very nice. And in the near future, I plan on doing a bunch of things like grounding kit, clear map lenses, LED's everywhere haha, tint, midnight grill, GTR style tails, painting/overlaying interior trim, dual 8" subs!, a CBE, and possibly coilovers.

I remember you posting about the driver's side rear fender being a huge question mark. How did that work out for you? From these angles it looks like the fender was rolled.

Yup, well the wheels that were on in the pics from that post were way too narrow. These are the correct sized wheels and the gap is much reduced. It is still slightly more than normal due to the body work there, but definitely tolerable.

Nice pick up, car looks great! How man miles are on it? Anything noticeable as a result of the rebuild?

Thanks! 44k. And yes, there a few minor things. There are a few misalignments here and there, but that's about it. Nothing drastic in my opinion. No mechanical issues. Car was repaired very well. Got a brand new paint job.

And I'll say, if the few imperfections that the car does have are what I have to live with for saving ~10k off of KBB value, then I think I made out really well. I believe this is a perfect example of times that you can be getting a great deal with a rebuilt.

Seriously, You couldn't even know it was a (R) titled car. If it lasts you over 125k miles then hell yea; I'd say you got a hell of a deal and it lived up to expectations. No mechanical issues so very strong possibility. Best of luck, look forward to seeing mods.

I just got a 2012 g37xs coupe in white! I love it so far! Ive read a few posts about this grounding kit but still don't know what it is or how it would be installed! Could you or anyone explain or point me in the right direction?

Thanks, and very nice car, i like the painted roof and mirrors! I plan on doing the same in the summer.

The grounding kit is a relatively simple wiring setup that improves shift speed, particularly with paddle shifters on an S, and audio quality/loudness. Here is a great DIY.

Thanks a lot i was looking for something like that! I went to school for electrical engineering so that should be a breeze just need to get the components and a few hours of free time! Have you done it before or seen the results first hand? I have read some say its noticeable but other say it isn't!

Very nice! My G37 is a rebuilt title as well and it's amazing how much money you can save by going this route as long as you have a good eye and some mechanical knowledge. Congrats on the buy, that things is sweet!!
