Great review. I wonder when Infiniti will catch-up with the pack and introduce a dual-clutch tranny. I feel like that's one of the new Q60's biggest downfalls.
I always enjoy Subaruwrxfan's reviews. I love how giddy he normally gets when he romps on the gas in fast cars... Unfortunately not the most stellar review for the Q60, he seemed kind of bored.
Ok, I'm !!! Does the CVT in the QX60 really matter; or, are you implying that there is a CVT in the Q60? I really want to think that you didn't mean the latter!!!
I refuse to even contemplate purchasing a red sport until someone like cobb steps in and provides full tuning support
Being that the Red Sport starts at 51K for RWD and 53K for AWD, it'll be best to wait a couple of years to get a slightly used one at a depreciated price.
So "Poor man" can afford 62-63K . With that outdated slushbox it is definitely not a gtr, not even close...
True, but it's still a good car. But I was surprised that at least the Red Sports are not equipped with a DCT. I can maybe understand the lower models not getting an DCT.
While the Jatco 7AT is a bit dated, a DCT is nice for racing, not so much for everday driving where a standard automatic will be much smoother in operation and more appropriate for a luxury marque. This is why US manufacturers are largely eschewing DCTs for 8-10 speed automatics and why even VW replaced the DCT in the Audi models with ZF boxes
