2009 G-37 Panels

Hello Group, The two vertical interior panels just forward of the shift lever tunnel on each side are popping out. It's like transmission heat has expanded the foam insulation behind them. I am not sure how to remove them to see if the problem can be remedied. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Corky

I removed them to recover with suede along with the glove box door. They are held in mostly with plastic clips. If they are just popped out you should be able to pop them back in with the heel of your fist. If you want to remove them, the passenger side has two screws at the forward end that you can access by removing the glove box door. The drivers side if I recall has one screw, again at the forward end, that you can access by pulling down on the trim piece under the steering column. I wish I would have taken pictures as I removed them but I didn't. Sorry. That said both were pretty simple to remove and replace.

Mine are kind of doing the same thing, just a slight bulging more so, if you take them off could you take a couple pictures of where the clips are?

I haven't pulled mine off yet. The driver side has really popped out badly. I can see where the foam has separated from the backing piece. If I get brave tomorrow, I'll give it a try and take some pictures.

It's now tomorrow. I gave up as you have to take down the panel under the steering wheel to access two screws holding the panel. The passenger side isn't as hard because only the glove box needs to be removed. My e-mail is mambo5320@yahoo.com in case you want to see some shop manual pix of the screws, clips, and pawl. Walt
