Wheels Stolen, Insurance doesnt want to cover it! Help!
So long story short, my G had the OEM 19" 2008 G37s wheels stolen off it while I was at work in Chicago.
The most likely used a crowbar or screwdriver to pry in between the pillar and window, right above the door lock. They opened it enough to slip a coat hanger or something in there and open the car and steal 2 $300 pairs of sunglasses, giftcards, and cologne. Went to the police station a few blocks away to file a report and have them take picture of the car, damage, and finger prints all over the window. The police could care-less and simply wrote up a report about 3 sentences long. They incorrectly wrote the report so i had to go back 3 days later and file a supplemantary report to have the story correct for insurance purposes.
Immediately from the police station, I drove home to get spare 370z 18" wheels I had that I use as drift spares for my S14. Drove all the way back to where my car was, and at this point its was 5:30am.
I have no pictures, security cameras were out on the back of my work, and insurance (Progressive) is basically telling me im **** out of luck unless I can provide proof that the wheels were stolen, such as a picture.
Anything I can do at this point?
PS: Insurance wants to pay out $6,700 for OEM wheels, potenza tires, TPMS, and 20 lug nuts, if I were able to provide proof.

Didn't snap a pic of it before going to the police? How was the car left with the wheels stolen off it? Blocks or something? Perhaps you could try recreate the scene with the wheels off the car and have someone take a picture of something else or a dumb selfie with the car in the background.. (Although this is basically.... well, it rhymes with "incurrence flawed") Any other businesses with cams or ATM's or anything anywhere near where the car was parked?

River North. One of the best areas in Chicago.

At this point I think all I can do is be cool and plead with them. If that doesnt work just tell them if I dont receive some type of coverage, I'm no longer going to be with that company....

Well since you already told them you don't have a picture DO NOT go "make" a picture. They'll just call BS and drop you and file a scammers report on your MVR, SAGE and evidence of insurance file.. You either argue with them about the police report and you did the best you could or file suit. No other legal way to do it.

They asked me to ask all my coworkers if anybody took pictures, pretty much giving me a few days to ask around but nobody did. The thought ran thru my head briefly, but I'm not that type of person.

How about an affidavit from your friend who took you to get your wheels? I'm sure he saw the car in the condition it was a.m. You can always take your insurance company to small claims court. But you'll probably get canceled. What do you have to lose? they haven't provided the service they said they would provide by paying the premium

I can see why they giving you a hard time honestly. Who comes out to their car on bricks and goes to the police station instead of calling 911 and having the police come out to them? I wanna go home too but that night I would've walked my tired *** back inside of work to use the phone.
