Looking to buy a G37

Looking to buy a g37 coupe. Always liked the G's and even wanted a g35 coupe but they're a little too old for me now.

Any tips or advice as to what I should look for? I'm not real picky just don't want a car that's too old and been beat on with too many miles... Ideally a 2011+ would be nice.

I've considered the 2014 q60 I assume that's the same thing just different name?

Also, I've noticed some g37s have some wood grain on the interior..really don't like that rather have an all black interior, is that just a certain trim or what? Helpful advice appreciated

I would go with one thats at least 2010 and up. 2010 is when the interior was updated, and 2011 is when the exterior was updated. In terms of maintenance, these cars are very reliable. Low miles, maintained regularly at Infiniti Dealership would be ideal as well. The Q60 is just a G37 with a new name. Next year is when the all new Q60 will be out. If I am not mistaken, the wood trim is on the Journey Models. The sport models and the normal models come with the Aluminum trim. If you can find a G37S, that would also be a good idea. Bigger brakes, better seats, and nicer looking rims, as opposed to the normal G37.

Wood trim can be on more than the Journey models, it's an option for all models and not standard on any (I have a Journey without wood) and by far there are more without the wood than with. Great car, reliable car, moderately fast car but don't get one thinking its a real track car, its not .... and it will take a lot of $$$ to get it there. It's a comfortable, reliable, daily driver that has better than most DD's performance.

Reliability is a big thing to me. I'm looking at a 2010 G37s w/ 60,000 miles.. I plan on sharing it with my gf (driving me and her to work) so definitely will be putting some good mileage on it.

Would you say these cars hold up pretty well after 100k? I've only had Civics up to this point.

What exactly changed after '11? I always thought it was all the same. But yeah I'm trying to stay above 2010 as it will be my daily driver. I'm seeing a 2010 g37s at a dealer right now with 60,000 miles for $18,000

We have almost 100k miles on ours, no signs of it not going another 100k or more.

Nice. You have an 08? I already had my mind up on this car but a little reassurance is always good

its rare you could get a car guy to compare a cars reliability to a Honda but, I would.. These are very reliable in almost every sense. Not to mention the luxuries you get.
