no that is the y pipe. the axleback replaces the (HEAVY) stock rear mufller. here is the link (the price is ridiculous for some reason, i "made an offer" and got it for around $260 i think.)

Man this sound is amazing for the given price! Pardon my ignorance but should I expect a similar sound on my G after this axleback provided everything else on the car is stock, like literally everything!

you already have an aftermarket catback of some sort. maybe someone here can identify it - i'm still fairly new to the G37 game, and not really familiar with the flavors of aftermarket exhausts.
